How do you make a vintage style collage?
I have a fabric piece that I want to use for a background but I am not sure how to adhere the paper to it properly.
I am trying to make a collage with photos that you can frame and hang on a wall…like a picture but with a small fabric swatch as the background. I want to frame it in a shadowbox style frame.
Clarity is needed to this question. Are you talking a crazy quilt – if you are – then you simply cut different sizes and shapes of material and attach them together on your base piece. Then you embroider them with various patterns.
If you are using paper – you would simply glue on; add your stitching using a permanent marker(s) and then put a coating of half glue/half water over it to seal it permanently.
