The grainy film…

Stars Stripes
Stars Stripes

I imagine that even before the ink on the Declaration of Independence had dried, the sentences: "Let us have a flag?" We need a flag! Britain has a flag! "Were joined by members of the Continental Congress. But then, a flag is important. It a symbol representing a group and their beliefs – a means of identification.

It has long been reported that in May 1776, Betsy Ross sewed the first version of the flag we use today. The American flag has, of course, went through several design transformations since then, as States were added to the nation and the stars were added to the design.

Symbolism Abounding

Design unique and attractive, I think our flag is also filled with symbolism. For me, the red stripes indicate courage, blood and suffering. The white stripes mean truth, purity and openness. Slots word itself is associated with oppressions, struggles, punishments and lessons learned. A flag represents a constant state of survival to age or duration.

For me, the stars of our flag represent goals, dreams and the future – what we all want their own way – the infinite stars. The color blue is usually identified with peace, peace and spirituality. Hopefully, our dreams and future will be surrounded by peace and spirituality, and the stars on the flag surrounded the blue.

Our flag is very similar to our country. It is linked by many threads, as our nation is woven by many nationalities, religions, philosophies and personalities.

The flag should be supported and supporting freedom in the wave, as our country needs support to remain as free as it was. Any little breeze can cause a reaction. A harsh wind can make the flag around his anger whip Foundation. But when the same becomes open and broken, hanging by only a few strands while remaining connected to its foundation, will continue to cling and wave freely. The wind blowing against the flag keeps waving, allowing the stars (and stripes) to see. The wind funneled good criticisms and protests against a nation that continues to change and configuration and thus prevents it from sinking into a false euphoria or apathy … or worse.

It's not as simple as it seems

The flag is not black and white, no more that most issues with him. You will notice that there is a dash more red than white, showing there will be no more pain and struggle he there will be purity and truth.

An amendment ( "HJ Res.10") gives Congress the power to prohibit the physical desecration of the flag was vote multiple times. However, "desecration" means more than being burned or shredded in anger and protest. For sale popular versions of interpreting our flag was placed on items ranging from paper notebooks and jewelry, shirts and sheets, has been shown that the flag has a commercial appeal and a patriot. However, Title 4, Section 8-D, 8-G-I and 8 of U.S. Code (rules and regulations) prohibits the use or location of a photo of him in everything that is intended to be discarded. The code also states that should not be used publicity purposes. Therefore, is always interesting to see how to interpret "desecration".

A commitment involved?

Any flag represents a nation or group of future and its past. Thus, prior to registration or praise, condemn or loyalty to him Take another look and really see for what it represents.

Sometimes I think that "the promise of our nation has gone to another rectangular object … green. With all the crime and corruption in this country is like the "Pledge of Allegiance" has been subconsciously rewritten to:

I pledge allegiance to the dollar
United States of America.
And the purchasing power for which it is located.
A poster under of the award, insatiable
with wealth and greed of the lucky ones.

Wave our flag still free!

Since the tragedy 9-11, the American flag red, white and blue was seen in vehicles of more buildings flew more than ever. Perhaps we should continue to wave our flag even more and always be careful to see that continues to represent freedom, justice and integrity has always been known.
