Netsuke is basically miniature sculptures which have become a collectible. Netsuke was a carved piece of cord sagemono () or compartment from the gallows, which stood close by the umbilical cord or 'Ojima', situated between the 'Inro' and the netsuke. The Inro kimono hanging on the belt (OBI) and the netsuke was placed below the belt, holding the Sagemono instead.
