The best of the 80 Video Games – Retro Style pixel perfection
Retro things seem to be always in style, and with the popularity of video today's games, retro games are definitely an exception. 80 games can be found everywhere, from "Wii Virtual Console" releases (Which include many of Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo titles) for the Xbox Live Arcade is on the Xbox 360. What keeps people coming back to the big games in the 80s? It's hard to say, but here are some of the largest of the 80 video games.
Can not speak of the best games of the 1980s without having to access the plumbing themselves brothers, Mario and Luigi. "Super Mario Bros.", both in the arcade and the NES, is a game that will always be loved by players everywhere. Sequelae, such as "Super Mario Bros. 3" (which sold 18 million copies!), Which released near the end of the 80s, is regarded as one of the best games of all time.
Another great game from the 80s was "Metroid" which was released in 1987 in North America for the NES. The game was praised for its immediate environment of science fiction, great controls, and unlimited action. However, one of the best aspects of the game has to do with the story itself. Although it is quite brief (which was common in 80 games), it is revealed at the end of the game the main character, Samus is actually female. This undoubtedly paved the way for all women of the heroes we see in games today.
It is difficult speaking of video games at all, and definitely the 80 video games, not to mention 1980's "Pac-Man." Pac-Man was a pretty basic character with a lofty goal basics: eat all the pills without getting caught by the ghosts wandering around in anger. However, the addictive the game was probably the first true mega-hit in the history of the game, at least in many areas.
Finally, "Donkey Kong" appeared on the scene in 1981, picking up right where "Pac-Man" left. The match took Mario to an unsuspecting public, which has become probably the most famous in the history of video games, along with Pac-Man. The game itself was brutally challenging and is still played competitively today.
Perhaps the 80 video games are loved because they let the player create their own history. We did not know why Pac-Man being chased by ghosts or why the princess was kidnapped by Bowser, players could create their own stories. Or, Once the game mechanics are simple but addictive reason. One thing is certain: great video games of the past are still as relevant today.
