I love French wine and Food – A Burgundy Aligote
If you're in the mood for French wines and Food, why not consider the world famous Burgundy region in eastern France? You can even find a bargain, and I hope you have fun on the road wine made education a comprehensive review local white wine based on grape Aligote.
Among the eleven regions Wine Burgundy France ranks fourth on the surface, particularly if the Beaujolais region, which most people despite their differences. Supporters, and many claim that Burgundy is really the number one or two wine growing areas in France if not the world. The wine reviewed below comes from somewhere in Burgundy, where the Wine production is about 90% white, almost exclusively Chardonnay. Although Aligote grape is the number two white grape of Burgundy, is still very is unknown. We'll see if this lack of visibility you deserve it or not. Besides Aligote Burgundy grapes are grown in Bulgaria, a producer of wine, not very known, but sometimes creates bargains. The best wines Aligote is said to come from the village and its surroundings, Bouzeron, located in Costa Chalonnaise region of Burgundy. These wines are a mixture from time to time Aligote and Chardonnay. For all we know that wine is reviewed Aligote pure and not Bouzeron area of Burgundy.
If you are visiting Burgundy, and you should really make sure you stop by the Gold Coast village of Chateauneuf in twenty-five miles (forty kilometers) south-west of Dijon in northern Burgundy. This looks mountain village come directly from the Middle Ages, except for tourists who have discovered. Its focal point is the Castle (Castle), built in 1132 and occupied by the same family for nine generations until 1456 when Cathrine of Châteauneuf was burned to death, it is said that she poisoned her second husband, Jacques d'Haussonville. The castle was then to owners different to the French Revolution, when it was expropriated and the village name was changed to Montfranc. With construction Burgundy Canal its fate was sealed so to speak. Be sure to see the tapestries of the medieval castle and its reflection in the canal. Of course, the famous wine of Chateauneuf du Pape in Provence is not Burgundy.
Before reviewing the Burgundy wine and imported cheeses we had the chance to buy at a local wine merchant and a local Italian food store, here are some suggestions of what to eat with indigenous wines when touring this beautiful region. Start with marbled ham (Ham parsley aspic). For your second course savor Saddle of Hare Piron (Far rabbit in white wine and shallots.) And for dessert, indulge yourself with chocolate mousse (chocolate mousse.)

Bourgogne Aligote 2005 Wine Review Jaffelin 12.7% from $ 14.00
Let by quoting the marketing materials. Tasting Notes straw color, subtle aromas of minerals, citrus, green apple and Anjou pear, dry, light, bodied, with clean apple / lemon flavors, crisp acidity on the finish. Tip Add a Kir cassis seafood, seafood snacks, ceviche or pan trout fries. And now for the test.
My first meal was whole wheat spaghetti with tuna house, red onions, garlic, Greek olive sauce that had a tomato spaghetti sauce commercial basis. I threw a bunch of grated Parmesan. The wine is light and short, but is a little entertained. It was nice acidity. As I continued the meal, I realized that this wine is not weak. Its acidity is a good accompaniment to fresh fruit juices.
Next Aligote is the task to accompany bagels, smoked salmon, cream cheese and 15% of Greek olives some with chili flakes, onion, thinly sliced red, and an artichoke, garlic and tomato sauce. The wine was lightly acidic and surprisingly long. The salsa intensified its fruit, while olives and fresh cranberries seemed to appease both the wine.
The last meal was a disappointing "Louisiana" chicken sausages grilled home. Both the meat and wine were pretty bad taste, but when I added a little mustard fruit wine Strong is a little encouragement. The sweetness of the corn Grilled on the acidity of wine appeared. However, the artichoke and garlic sauce delivered the thin Burgundy This is a Burgundy even thinner.
The first pair was the cheese with a light touch Fruilano Italian pecorino. The wine is light and fruity with decent length. Dutch Edam was nutty, a little fat, and slightly bitter. The cheese was tasty, but the wine was weaker.
Verdict final. Burgundy brings its expectations. They have not been received by this wine. What do you want for this moderate price? More than what I got here. If ever you find Aligote Bouzeron'll give it a shot.
