Ball Python as pets
Ball pythons make great pets. Its cheap price, good temperament and longevity make them one of the best-selling snakes. If you choose ball python as a pet, buy a captive born to make sure you get good eating habits, with registered offices and a snake already used to contact with humans.
In recent years, captive breeding projects have developed several interesting varieties of color, who share same guidelines. Acquisition ball python from a reputable breeder will also ensure that you get the help and advice they need to make your python the ball feels comfortable and safe to eat after withdrawing it at home.
What to look for in a healthy python (and any type of snake):
Rounded · body shape
· Clean skin
• Eyes clear and clear ventilation

ball pythons are naturally shy about their heads touched or handled by strangers. It will pull the head and neck significantly away from those contacts. When held up, ball python should be held gently but firmly when moving around. Should be alert to their surroundings.
Ball python for housing
A complete grown ball python should be home in a tank of 30 gallons (36 "x12") or larger. A young adult requires a 20 gallon tank and a baby requires a tank 10 gallons. Select an enclosure especially designed for housing snakes, and make sure the cage is secure as ball pythons are very powerful and cunning when it comes escape.
Substratum
A top substrate should be a paper towel. This allows you to look for parasites and stool problems. After establishing the snake and eat well, you can use cypress or pine bark as a substrate. Avoid using pine or cedar shavings as they can be caught in the mouth when eating, causing respiratory problems and others. Washable, reusable, carpets reptiles can also be used. Water
