The renovation of a Victorian house
If you want to paint your house to reflect its Victorian heyday, will probably have to use "real" the colors of the Victorian era and combinations. While today many Victorian houses are painted neutral topics, this may not be the best way for true Victorian atmosphere. "True" Victorian colors may surprise you, since they are not smooth, not always light.
In 1885, a critic writing in California Architects and Builders News had this to say about the color schemes of Victoria in San Francisco: "… red, yellow, chocolate, orange, all that is strong Fashion is … if the upper floors are not red or blue … are painted on panels up to coarse yellow and brown … "Certainly not have appreciated the colors bright that were in fashion, today is a definite quota owners who want to paint their houses with authentic colors and bold times that.
