The former splendor and beauty of Charles Bridge, a bridge beyond compare, left an impression on my imagination that never fade.

Charles Bridge is a famous historical bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague, Czech Republic. Charles Bridge is a bridge Gothic stone that is a reality in the heart of Prague, both physically and mentally. It is the connection between the river side of the castle and Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. It's a constant center of activity and save early and late are filled with tourists, vendors, artists, artisans, musicians and beautiful statues.
Construction the bridge was begun under Emperor and Czech King Charles IV in 1357. It was under the charge of Petr Paler who also did the St. Vitus Cathedral in the castle. The bridge is 516 meters in length and 10 m wide, resting on 16 arches covered by ice guards. It is protected by three bridge towers, two on the Lesser Town hand, and the third side of the old town.
As quiet and romantic it may seem, the river Vtlava has not always been as calm as can be seen today. His anger, combined with the power of the heavy rains have flooded many times and destroyed bridges and Prague hotels people built on it what happened several years ago. Charles Bridge is no exception. That has often been victims of floods and natural disasters or created.
Charles Bridge is on the top of every visitor of Prague must see list. It is also popular with Czech artists, musicians and vendors memories, whose line is on both sides of the bridge throughout the year. A great time of day to reach the bridge is at sunset when you can enjoy a view impressive fully lit Prague Castle against the night sky. The bridge is now a pedestrian area (although both the tram and car traffic allowed in the past) and is almost always crowded.
Charles Bridge and other fascinating places in Prague have made it one of the most beautiful cities the world and today tourism is a major strength. So, Prague has a wide selection of hotels in Prague, hotels and pensions. With modern technology (see bookings) and more and more specialized travel agency market, Prague is now able to please any tourist from any spending limit in the most demanding business traveler than backpackers.
I think the majority of visitors have walked on the Charles Bridge in agreement that this part of the attraction of Prague is still the most memorable image of the city. I do not think you need a guided walk to Charles Bridge. Simply go free and easy and enjoy the beautiful scenery. A good suggestion – Try to be there early in the morning, just as the sun rises (people has not been flooded in yet) afternoon or evening when the sun sets. It is the best time to play with the camera.
