Brief History of Louis Vuitton handbags
Louis Vuitton was trained as a luggage packer luxury Parisian families in the 1800s and began his rise to fame by being appointed by Napoleon III to pack the dresses of the Empress Eugenie. He had the idea for his famous bags on the basis of their extensive knowledge of luggage and actually began designing luggage for the traveling rich in Paris.
Inventions before Louis Vuitton includes the idea of designing luggage that was flat and could easily stack in railway carriages. His rivals began imitating the rising popularity of his designs for the baggage that lead to the creation of distinctive patterns of stripes and checkerboard.
The company was formed in 1854 and suitcases begin to give way to designs bags. The ever popular Noe bags were originally made to carry 5 bottles of champagne, but his success was so phenomenal that the senior women everywhere began to carry this elegant bag. The Damier Canvas design debuted in 1888 and in 1896 the family monogram design was launched to try and counteract the replicas made by competitors who were copying his unique styles. The Monogram logo consists of intersecting LV initials with a curved beige diamond and 4 stars insertion point. The design is continued by his refusal consisting of a beige circle with a four insertion of broadleaf flowers. A PVC coating is added to the material that is enhanced by its own design.
Today Louis Vuitton still stands for the highest quality and any purse that comes from the factory that does not comply with these standards is destroyed. This company has stood the test of time for 3 centuries and remains a force in history of fashion handbags.
