I get this question all the time and always try to get as much information as possible to my customers to recommend the best hotels them. Since I will not be able to do this, now I'm going to be as fair as I can be, and I leave you what hotel to go.
In this article I focus on hotels located in Old Town or Old Havana, which is how everyone knows Havana. One thing that makes hotels in this part of the Havana different from the rest is the fact that very few they were originally built for hotels. Each has a unique architectural style and some of them dating back 200 years.
I must begin with Hotel Santa Isabel, located in the heart of Old Havana, next to when the city was founded. Originally built for the governor of Cuba for over 200 years this building is one of the most representative of Spanish colonial architecture, Moorish. Has only 27 rooms, most with fantastic views. This four star hotel, plus shipping later in time. Hotel Santa Isabel must be booked in advance. Despite being expensive, that has some rooms, it is very difficult to achieve, especially in high season.
My favorite hotel the following must be Saratoga Palace. The Hotel Saratoga is an elegant building of eclectic style. It is located directly opposite the Capitol building at one of the most popular walks in La Havana, Paseo del Prado. Probably one of the few hotels in Havana, they deserve a category of 5 stars. From the rooftop pool you can admire the splendor of the old city while relaxing in a deckchair. This hotel has 96 rooms divided into suites, junior suites and deluxe rooms in the courtyard. I recommend really junior suites, these beings have balconies overlooking the streets of Havana.
NH Parque Central is another 5 star hotel in the old city I recommend especially for its high level of service and excellent food. This hotel is also located in the Paseo del Prado, Paseo and was built on the ruins of a building collapsed there about 10 years. Its facade is an architectural gem, but its magnificent hall was decorated as directed by the colonial style. It also has a rooftop pool with great views of Old Town.
There are many hotels in Old Nice city, I would also recommend, like Florida, Count of Villa Nueva and Rachel on hotels and hostels little, but very comfortable as Valencia, Commander and Beltran de Santa Cruz.
