About five thousand years, the Empress Chinese discovered silk If Ling Chi by pure chance. Thai silk industry dates back some 3,000 years, according to archaeological discoveries. Considering that the oldest evidence of Thai silk Baan Chiang is reported, a heritage site in the province of Udon Thani.
In northern Thailand is the Khorat plateau, popular for being the center of the country's silk industry. To raise silkworm Bombyx mori called to weave cloth elegant silk, Khorat Plateau oversees the production of silk and silk pink supplies for many years. Today, Thai silk is recognized as the best fabrics in the world.
silkworm Bombyx mori is hatched from eggs of the silk moth, feeding on mulberry leaves. After feast on the leaves, the silkworm spins a cocoon in August with his saliva. The colors vary from a pie green bud light gold, while the total length of fiber from 500-1500 meters. It is soaked in boiling water to separate the fibers.
It takes many fibers to produce a fine silk thread strong enough for weaving. Some equipment used while the majority are rolled by hand to produce the son of raw silk.
