Design of walls and faux finishes need some creative ideas?
I am a big fan of Home and Garden, but I personally lost him years creative edge. A friend of mine who is even less creative, I painted these very cute rabbits on the wall of her daughter through an overhead projector. She used a pencil to draw and paint the fine details of gears. He looked amzing! I want to do that in my son's room. He loves cars and wants to film a Lightning McQueen in his room, so I think it will give me a chance. I also go to Home Depot today to one of these clinics paint to get some information Faux finish on. We do our family room with some sort of false color. Anyone else do anything to your walls or have some design ideas cool?
I make many of them children decorate the rooms. A projector works well. If you can draw you can pencil in a fund and are painted in murals not really that hard to do. The paint on the wall of one color first. I would wear a blue sky. Then make a horizon line about one third on the wall. The paint under the wall of a green lawn. Pencil on a winding road to add a tree or a bush below for more details use the projector to add Lightning McQueen on the road. Acrylic craft paints work well on the murals. Use latex for base coat. Also for large areas if you paint. Faux Fininshes are generally very easy You can make a sponge or rag or out of the paint or varnish. Plastic bags work well to start giving a veneer of leather-like look. You can comb or brush through the glaze to give a finished fabric. These all are fairly easy but you might want to work with another person helping. Venise Gypsum is a very nice, but much work and lots of sanding and disorder. It's not hard though. But it takes a couple of days ideas. Look through some of the leaflets and books, while in Home Depot to get an idea of what you like. Then see if they could demenstrate how, while that in class.
